Directions: Farm is located a half mile south of Queen Street on Gladstone Ave S (York Lake Road). The Big White Coverall building on the east side of the Road. 

 

Bio and Summary: Mike Hall has been the research coordinator for the Yorkton research farm since 2013. The Farm is a collaborative effort between the East Central Research Foundation and Parkland College. Prior to 2013 Mike was farm consultant in the Yorkton area for 7 years and a Crop Specialist with Alberta Agriculture for 10 years.

 

Field Trip Details:

• Meet at the main farm site at 1:15 pm
• Parking available on site on the lawn
• Tour will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 pm
• Presentation, by Mike Hall, about the farm, the relationship between ECRF and Parkland College and the City of Yorkton
• Travel to the plots on trailers with bleachers for visitors
• water on hand and there is a porta pottie at the farm site
